This would be helpful when tracking order by My Customer option. I would be able to see three days in advance if a order was not going to ship on time

I already have this automation turned on. It works well when it is a Friday and the orders are due on on Monday. I still see a lot of orders that I do not need to see on this tab.
I'll put in a request to add 'due in 3 days' to the WIP dropdown options for the Date specific columns.

For an easy workaround, select the file menu from the WIP Screen and select enable animations. This will insert a colored stripe in the Est Ship Date column to indicate due date. Blue=3 days Yellow=Tomorrow, Orange=Today, Red=Late. Please let us know if this doesn’t accomplish what you’re looking for.
